Directions to South Appleton Lot(P5)

From the South via I-95, take Exit 109, Elkton/Newark, and take Elkton exit, the first one to right.
Stay in R lane, turning R at Mickie Dee's onto Belle Hill Road. Proceed a little less than a mile
 to T-intersection with Appleton. Turn R, continue northward for about 3.7 miles
 (pass through flashing signal at Fletchwood, stop sign at Barksdale, stop sign at Jackson Station)
Lot is just about 0.6mi on the L. If you get to Telegraph Rd and Highs Store, you have missed it.

From the North via I-95, take Exit 3 from I-95, proceed W on 273 for  ~7mi to L on Appleton.
Parking lot on R in ~0.5 mile.

From PA, take Appleton Rd, South from 896, just past Sunoco station in Kemblesville.
Lot is ~2mi S of PA line on R (~ 0.5mi beyond Highs Store).
 

Some last minute notes from last year: The trail is marked now--very well marked. This is a lovely time of year around these parts, and the trail is fantastic fun. The forest trees have mostly unleaved, and while this would not be considered a technical trail, there are occassional rocks, roots, etc., that would otherwise be visible. The trail is very well-hydrated so don't expect to keep your feet dry and clean. Following the recent rains, several small stream crossings have made it a sure bet you feet will get wet. Oh yes, the mud, the fun mud (Phil: could call this the Mudrunium), you will experience it.
